Brijesh Mishra, 37, used fake college acceptance letters to help these students get Canadian visas. How Mishra Fooled the Students Canadian officials found that between 2016 and 2020, Mishra gave many students from India phoney letters saying they had been accepted into Canadian colleges and universities. The students were trying to get visas to study in Canada. Mishra would tell students to “apply” to multiple schools to increase their chances. But the students never actually applied themselves. Mishra simply collected their documents like passports and test scores. Then he would later claim a school accepted them and give them an acceptance letter from his office.
